On-demand workshops
We offer individual or small-group tutoring. If you need assistance with a specific aspect of writing, contact us and we will work out a program to suit. Choose from the courses listed above, or ask us to design one to your specifications.

Mentoring
If you require ongoing supervision, we offer limited mentoring opportunities. Beginning with a full assessment of your current writing project, we work with you on revising drafts and exploring ideas and methods of expression in one-to-one meetings. Available in Perth area only.

Private consultations
Need a one-off session to polish a particular aspect of your writing? We are happy to arrange private lessons on an occasional basis. Call us for a consultation if you have a more general line of enquiry to pursue.

Ghost writing
Sometimes you have a great story but you don't have the time or the ability to turn it into a book. The Book Doctor can help.
We have a small list of professional, published authors who will work with you to produce a story from your ideas.
You tell us what your idea is, how long you want the work to be (a rough word count), and how soon you need it. We will match you with a suitable author, oversee the writing process, and deliver a publication-standard manuscript.
This is not a cheap option. Negotiations start at around $15,000 for a fiction work of 50,000 to 80,000 words. Non-fiction works may cost more depending on the amount of research required. Ask us if you would like more information.
Manuscript revision
Got a manuscript in such bad condition that editing is not enough to get it right? Have one of our professional writers turn it into readable prose, working from your finished script, and giving you something you can be proud of.
Cheaper than a fully ghosted work, this is an option for writers who have completed a full draft and are looking for a professional polish.

We will format your manuscript ready for the printer or to offer to a publisher, in Word or InDesign, and provide you with camera-ready copy in PDF format.

Have you published a book, and are looking for someone to review it? We will read your work and produce a review suitable for promotion. Costs vary according to the size of the work and whether we are already familiar with it.
